The University of Texas at Arlington Libraries is hiring multiple Temporary Reference & Instruction Librarian positions.
If you're passionate about teaching, research support, and creating engaging learning experiences, this is an opportunity to make an immediate impact on student success at UTA. With flexible scheduling and opportunities to work up to 40 hours per week, these positions support the University's teaching and learning mission through instruction, research assistance, and digital learning initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching information literacy and library instruction sessions across academic disciplines
- Providing research consultations and reference services to undergraduate students
- Developing digital learning objects, including Canvas modules, LibGuides, and short instructional videos
- Collaborating with colleagues and teaching faculty to support student success and academic excellence
Position Details:
Multiple openings available
Temporary 4.5-month appointment
Flexible scheduling and hybrid opportunities based on responsibilities
Up to 40 hours per week
Required Qualification:
Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program
