Reportingto the Manager of Web Technologies and Development, this position will engagein project work and support new technology initiatives derived from ourstrategic plan and opportunities that arise as part of our teaching, research,and service missions. The responsibilities of this position include, but arenot limited to, maintaining and enhancing our web presence in its many forms;extending web frameworks, applications and tools; and developing modern systemintegrations. The University Libraries is a beta development partner with EBSCOIndustries on the FOLIO Library Services Platform; further developmentopportunities exist there as well.

MLS/MLIS degreefrom an ALA accredited program, or advanced terminal degree in a comparablefield from an accredited institution.
Demonstratedability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with diverseconstituencies.

Experience withLAMP/LAPP systems.
Experiencedeveloping within a CMS such as WordPress or Drupal environment.

Job dutiescontinue to change with the evolving research library environment.
2+ years ofprogramming and development experience.
Experiencedeveloping for and supporting academic library applications such as CONTENTdm,DSpace, etc.
Experienceinteracting with and manipulating REST API data.
Experience withprofessional workflows using IDEs, Taskrunners, Git, staging servers, and unittesting.
Experience withgeneral web security issues, HTTPS, and developing secure applications.
Experiencedeveloping for and within open-source projects.
Familiarity withdevelopment frameworks, such as RoR, Angular/Node, or React.
Some awareness ofaccessibility issues and solutions.

SALARY/BENEFITS:12 month non-tenure track renewal contract faculty appointmentat the assistant professor rank, depending on qualifications. Salaryrange is $55,000 -$70,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, andadvanced degrees. Strong benefits, including professional developmentsupport, tuition fee waiver, and matching retirement contributions.
