Working collaboratively, the User Engagement Librarian will be responsible for the development andimplementation of programming, activities, and projects designed to improve theoverall user experience of the Libraries. Shared responsibilities also include reference, collectiondevelopment, and instruction in credit-bearing Information Literacy courses. Thisis a fulltime faculty position reporting to the University Librarian. The successful candidate is expectedto pursue an active and ongoing program of scholarship, service, andprofessional development.
Masters degree in Library Science, orequivalent, from an ALA-accredited program.
Commitment to the promotion of aculture of outstanding public service in a learner-centered environment. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills; excellent oral and written communicationskills, with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in multipleformats and to diverse audiences.
Experience in teaching credit-bearing courses. Experience providingreference and instruction services. Experienceworking in an academic library.
Salary: Facultyrank and salary is commensurate with academic preparation and professionalexperience; expected range $58,000 -$77,000.
Eligibility: Employment is contingent uponproof of eligibility to work in the United States.
