PositionFunction: Provide leadership and management in thedevelopment and coordination of an inclusive and comprehensive strategicassessment program across all library units with a focus on user experience andmeasurable student success and learning outcomes; work collaboratively todevelop metrics and methods for the assessment of library services, spaces,collections, and technologies; collect, analyze, document, interpret,represent, and report data to support evidence-based decision making, advancestrategic objectives, and communicate the value and potential of the UniversityLibraries; promote a culture of assessment through providing training,consultative services, and engaging partners, collaborators, and stakeholdersin developing data skills, competencies, and dexterity.


Minimumqualifications: MLS/MLIS/MIS degree from an ALA-accredited program orother relevant advanced degree with focus in statistics, service design,business analytics, data science, qualitative research or related discipline.  Proven experience applying quantitative andqualitative assessment methodologies; strong analytical and innovativeproblem-solving skills; experience developing and implementing successfulassessment programs to achieve measurable outcomes; in depth knowledge ofvarious statistical software such as SPSS, NVivo, Tableau, etc. and datavisualization platforms; working knowledge of basic Microsoft Officeapplications.  Excellent interpersonalskills, with the ability to establish positive and productive collaborationsworking with diverse audiences and colleagues throughout the Libraries andbeyond; excellent oral and written communication skills, especially whenpresenting data; ability to work evenings and/or weekends.     


Preferredqualifications: Additional advanced degrees.
