Collections Development and Assessment Librarian Ball State University Ball State University Libraries is accepting applications for a Collection Development and Assessment Librarian. Ball State University Libraries include Bracken Library and branch libraries in the Cooper Science Building and Architecture Building. The Libraries employ 48 professionals and 68 staff employees. With over 1.2 million volumes and 300 databases, the Libraries provide access to a full spectrum of scholarly resources and also offers vibrant learning space for over 1.3 million annual visitors. Position function: Perform activities related to developing and sustaining University Libraries electronic and physical resource collections to meet user needs for teaching, learning and research, including material selection, deselection, preservation, evaluation and assessment; coordinate pre-order activities for new e-resource acquisition, including trials and licensing; serve as collection development liaison for assigned academic departments; coordinate library shared print, long-term storage, and cooperative collections development initiatives. Minimum qualifications: MLS/MLIS/MIS from an ALA accredited program at time of appointment. Experience with library collection development, acquisitions, or related area; experience with library automated systems and services. Effective oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
